“We couldn’t imagine home anywhere else but Waterfall”
“The amazing lifestyle at waterfall has transformed our family”
“There is no other estate quite like Waterfall”
“We are very happy at Helderfontein Estate. As parents, we know that our young son is in a safe environment and free to enjoy the many facilities. We often take him fishing at the dams across the river and ride our mountain bikes throughout the secure development. These activities give us the feeling of being out in the country.” read full story
“Waterfall Country Estate fits our needs perfectly – it’s within a 15km radius of our offices, the security is top class and the school is within 200 metres of our home. Add to this the facilities on the Estate and we have an ideal place to live. The neighbourly atmosphere is reminiscent of days gone by; we truly enjoy our lives at Waterfall Country Estate.” read full story
“We have finally moved into our beautiful home in the Waterfall Country Estate and could not be happier. Thank you for the excellent service and help you offered towards getting us our dream home! Apart from our own lovely home, our neighbours have also made us feel very welcome on the Estate. We have a strong sense of community living here, which we feel is an exceptional gift to our children in terms of quality of life. It is indeed a privilege to live at Waterfall.”
Sharon and Rodney have moved into their beautiful new home at Waterfall Estate to be close to their daughter Donna, who lives in Waterfall Village with her husband Barry and two young children. Sharon’s mum, Josie lives in Waterfall Hills, making this a four-generation family within Waterfall Estate!
When Ian and Nicole first moved to Waterfall Country Estate in Johannesburg a year ago, they had no idea what a wonderful sense of community they would encounter and how much they would enjoy the lifestyle offered by the close proximity of all the facilities on the estate. “From the day we moved in when our neighbours presented us with a lemon tree laden with fruit, we have been socialising with them and our children have been meeting in the park daily to play to their hearts content. There are six families living in the same road and we all regularly share braais and other social occasions,” says Nicole.
This lifestyle harks back to years gone by, when children could visit each other and ride bikes round the neighbourhood in complete safety. “Each morning, my husband and I cycle on the paths around the Estate, feeling completely secure – which is a feature of living at Waterfall Estate,’ says Nicole.
Ian and Nicole have two children, the elder of whom is at Reddam House Waterfall, which is within walking distance of their home. “I’m excited that we now have the Waterfall Corner shopping centre on our doorstep. This will take our lifestyle to the next level of convenience.” Nicole is exuberant about her family’s life at Waterfall and says she couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
“The entire experience at Highland Gate was a huge treat and done so professionally. After the first 4 holes we had taken far more pictures than shots played and were all amazed by the immaculate condition of such a new course and the beauty of the vistas, my favourite being the 4th hole. I have been very fortunate as golf has taken me all over the world and I have played some of the greats. Highland Gate is without doubt one of the best designed and conditioned courses I have ever played worldwide! A course that definitely deserves a big tournament like the Presidents Cup so the world can see it’s beauty.”
“Highland Gate golf course is fantastic and in my view the best kept secret in golf in SA at the moment. The views are spectacular and I found myself looking around all the time as well as listening for the fish eagle on the 9th hole, amazing!!”
My family and I have been living in Waterfall Country Estate for the past 4 and a half months. Since moving to this incredible estate, the life of my family has been blissful, peaceful and secure. I thought I would take some time to send you a letter to commend you and your team at Century on your vision and commitment to this development, as so often people take the time to complain but seldom to thank and congratulate.
Our experience since the very first time we walked into the sales office at Waterfall has been nothing but wonderful. We were fortunate enough to meet John Conradie at our first visit who convinced us in no time that Waterfall was the best place for our family to live, particularly given that we had been recent victims of an armed hijacking. John was an incredible help in facilitating the purchase of our properties and he has remained a great contact in answering our questions throughout the past 18 months.
We were then again extremely fortunate to meet Bruce Dickson from Down to Earth Architects and Jason Henning from Henning Construction who took on the tasks of designing and building our home respectively. The process of designing and building our home with this professional team has been amazing. We fully expected it to be an incredibly stressful and daunting project and were pleasantly surprised to find the experience such a positive and fun one. We had other great suppliers on board too which all added to the truly pleasant experience of building our home.
Seven Arrows Security have also been incredible and once again we congratulate Century on securing their services to handle the security in the estate. All of their staff that we have come into contact with are pleasant, polite, efficient and add to the sense of safety and security we feel living here.
Finally, Grant, Joanne and the rest of the team at Trafalgar are doing a great job of managing the needs of residents. All our contact with them has been handled extremely efficiently. So basically, a big thank you to you and your team for providing us with an opportunity to be part of this development and for your involvement in getting the right people on board to give people like us an experience such as we have had in building and moving to this estate. As a result of all the above mentioned people and a few more, we honestly felt like this was home within a week of moving in and now feel like we have never lived anywhere else.
“What a privilege and honour to have shared this news with you, and to have played a hole in one on this beautiful course at Highland Gate, designed by the legend of golf ,Mr Els ,really is an honour. We played on Sunday the 14th of September, I played with three clients of mine, the hole in one was achieved on the 7th hole.
I would like to congratulate you and your team on a wonderful development, it is a magic course and I strongly believe that every investor and potential investors will be part of a legacy, And you succeeded not only to entertain the golf lover, what better place to escape to with your family for a weekend of relaxation, a place where you feel so close to nature. Thank you again for making this dream come true.”
We are very pleased to welcome Fred and Melanie to Waterfall Valley Mature Lifestyle Estate. They have moved into their new custom designed home. Fred and Melanie come from Dainfern Estate, where Fred was chairman of the Home Owners Association. Their children also live in Century estates – one family in the Waterfall Equestrian Estate and the other in Helderfontein Estate near Fourways, making them a truly ‘Century’ family. May your time in Waterfall Valley be fulfilling and thoroughly enjoyable
Erica and Allan Henning are convinced that Waterfall Estate is the best place to live in Gauteng. The couple started off in Waterfall Hills where they made many friends.
“After three very happy years at Waterfall Hills, when our daughter moved to Waterfall Village we wanted to be close to her, so we bought a nearby stand in Waterfall Village and had a beautiful home constructed to our exacting specifications,” explains Erica.
“We thoroughly enjoy living at Waterfall. We regularly take evening walks with our family to participate in the community atmosphere of moms and dads pushing prams, dogs, kids on bikes and grannies and grandpas joining in the fun. “That’s the family side of things, but with regard to the practical aspects of Waterfall, it ticks all the boxes admirably. The nearby hospital provides peace of mind, the library at Waterfall Hills is extremely well stocked and the restaurant at the clubhouse offers a place to socialise with the friends we made while living there.
Of course, we are privileged to have an apartment at Waterfall Hills which we let out, which allows us access to the beautiful facilities there including the specially designed gym which also has Pilates classes. Since Waterfall Corner opened nearby, we have everything we need in the Waterfall precinct,” says Erica.
When Brad and Anique visited Waterfall for the first time, they knew that this was the environment in which they wanted to raise their children. “It is easy to forget the fact that we are still only a couple of kilometres from Sandton” says Brad. As a young family based in Bryanston, they soon realised that they had outgrown their family home and needed to expand their residential environment. Both being keen golfers, the idea of living on a golfing estate was appealing but issues like the high levies and the influx of non-residents that are associated with most golfing estates, did not entice them. Instead they decided to focus on Waterfall with its vast greenbelts and environmentally conscious lifestyle as their unique investment. Another determining factor for this dynamic couple was the close proximity to Sandton CBD, as this is where both of them have established careers – yet while “living in the country” at the same time
